An art trail will be created around Pontypridd’s town centre and Ynysangharad Park as part of my BA (Hons) Creative and Therapeutic Arts degree at the University of South Wales. Myself and the other students have gotten together with various business venues around the town and will make artwork for these wonderful venues. The Art will be inspired by Pontypridd and our aim is to engage the local community. The exhibition not only showcases our work as artists, but also demonstrates our passion for supporting our community’s wellbeing, our ability to form meaningful connections. The trail exhibits our work as specialists, yet additionally shows our enthusiasm for supporting our local area’s prosperity, our capacity to shape significant associations. I have decided to partner with Purple shoots.

Purple shoots

Purple Shoots is a registered UK charity and a Responsible Finance Provider. They provide spaces for people to create and sell art for the charity. My initial ideas for the art trail is to run workshops within the space focusing on nature-based craft activities with calming music and cups of tea.
